In this not so regular Joe episode, Marc shares his journey and experience with an eating disorder and how he dealt with it and has overcome it to get to where he is today.
As an always active and sports driven kid and teenager, Marc reached his heaviest weight of 105kgs at the age of 11. Which his obsession with food and exercise saw him lose weight to reach his lowest weight of 48kg at the age of 14 at a height of 5.11.
Marc takes us on a journey to how his eating disorder was first developed and the steps he took to recover and how he found his “why” and how he is living a more enjoyable and balanced life now.

In this episode it’s all about ‘Breaks’ and the importance of breaks, and how breaks can make you more productive, efficient and have health benefits. There is a lot of research that supports taking a break throughout a working day that doesn’t involve any work, or personal tasking can improve one’s mood and support wellbeing and reduce stress.
There is also research that supports that multitasking is not as efficient and productive as when focusing on one single task at a time. So spend the next 15 mins solely focussing on the episode.

It was sparked from a close friend of Mel who committed suicide. What began as 12 days of Kindness’ social media challenge has grown into a movement that aims to positively impact the world of using the message of choose kind.

As a qualified Physiotherapist, Francis talks through what an injury is and how it’s diagnosed and how individuals’ self-diagnose injuries based off the pain one feels performing a movement or action. She talks to her views on this misconception of what an injury it and how her experience has opened her up her views on what an injury is and how a diagnosis is not essential to determine an injury, whether it is diagnosed by a health practitioner.
In summary Francis addresses some of the many stigmas and myths surrounding injuries and how an injury does not lesson an individual’s movement and can still move and exercise while injured without having to feel something is missing.

Let’s talk about self care and what it means to practice self-care. It’s not just about general conception, by taking time out and maintenance of the mind and body and when one looks at the definition of self-care in it’s entire definition of a world. It is any deliberate individually controlled, self-initiated action with the intention to enhancing energy, health and reduce stress.
In essence self care does what it says on the jar… SELF! So, it’s all about the individual and what need for ourselves.

Through the power of conversation, Farah shares personal stories how her close community of friends and loved ones have helped her to deal with and slowly overcome her Chronic Pain and Fatigue.
